Santa Claus is coming to town…

Read to the bottom of this post and find out what he is bringing…

This cute Square Pop-Up Box Card  was a class card that I taught at Creations Galore this past Saturday!  We had a fun time making 4 different cards.

The Pop-Up Box Card folds flat for mailing (picture on the right) and then pops open into a Box.   They are pre-scored and die cut, so they are already to decorate and assemble.  <br>The Pop-Up Box cards are also available in an A-2 size.

Pop Up Pumpkins!

These cute pumpkins “pop up” out of the folded Pop-Up Box Card when opened.
We have 2 sizes of Pop Up Box Cards – this size folds into an A-2 Card and then “pops” up into a small square.
So…if you are looking for something alittle bigger – then the Square Pop-Up Box Card is for you -it actually “pops” up in to a little bit bigger rectangle shaped box.

CREDIT – The inside design of this box is a modified version of a sample that I originally saw in the Fall Impression Obsession stamp catalog, which was designed by one of their talented designers. I modified it a bit so I could teach it in a class, using our papers, and then also designed the outside of the box.

So Simple…yet pretty!

I’m trying to think “Spring”….with the flowers and the “Spring” cardstock!
The layer on the front of this card is one of the Embossed Metallic Constellation Jade cardstocks – Spring. It is a one-sided cardstock, so the pattern is only on one side. In this sheet the pattern is a smaller swirly pattern, slightly embossed into the shimmery sheet.
I embossed this using an embossing folder from Sizzix, then used a q-tip and chalks to add just a slight amount of color to the flowers. The Nestabilities shape with the words, was also die cut using a swatch of Spring and then stamped with a Timber Brown Staz-On Ink Pad. Before stamping, I applied chalk to it, so it wasn’t stark white.
This is layered on Echo Stardream Metallic and then on a Cognac Curious Metallic Scored A-2 Card.

I’ve had enough of this CRAZY winter, so everyone….please…think “SPRING”!

Let It Snow…

Or not! But honestly, right now, it is bitter cold outside and the wind is blowing, and “I think” I would rather have snow… long as Ron will do the shoveling!!!!
I’m sure this cute little penguin in the sample won’t mind either.

The card base is one of our Scallop Circle Layered Card Kits – White Scallop Circle Card, Sno Cone Scallop Layer and a White 3.5″ Circle (I used this piece and punched a Scallop Rectangle using a Marvy Punch). This all comes in one neat little kit with all the pieces pre-cut for you.
The Sno Cone layer is embossed with a Snowflake embossing folder and then I rubbed an Encore Frost White ink pad over the top. The white only shows up as a very light coloring of white over the snowflakes. I stamped the “Let It Snow” from Impression Obsession with a Berrylicious Ink Pad.
That cute little Penguin is a die from Impression Obsession and even though it is a pain to cut 30 or so of these for a class, he is pretty adorable!!!
NOTE: this is one of my class cards in my Cards, Cards, Cards class that I will be offering at some shows or stores this year.

This is another sample using that same Scallop Circle Layered Card Kit- this time I used the Circle and stamped the word stamp on top of it. The “Snow” stamp is from Impression Obsession. They are in VA, but you would think they like the SNOW – there are 8 pages of stamps if you search “Snow” !!

Shaker Pouches make it easy to Shake It Up!!

Shaker Cards are super easier with Impression Obsession Shake-It Pouches.
On this card, I used a Heart Shake-It Pouch with a Red Polka Dot Heart Window Shaker Overlay.
Both are layered on a White A-2 scored card.
The Happy Valentines Day is just a stamp from my stamp room stash, but the die cut LOVE on the front of the card is one of Impression Obsession’s new dies, die cut using Red Felt cardstock and then layered on a strip of White.
Inside the Shake-It pouch, I used large seed beads, but probably should have used smaller seed beads or Valentines sprinkles from the baking section of the grocery store.
This card is one of the cards that I will be teaching in my Cards, Cards, Cards class at Rubber Stamp Fantasy in Marietta, GA on Thursday, Jan 30th in the evening. In this class, we will be making 10 cards!!!
